Things to Do on Your Plot in March

Things to Do on Your Plot in March

Below are some guidelines about when to sow your seeds.  However check your seed packets for full instructions as it varies from type to type, where you are living and some seeds can be planted over more than one month.  Also check your soil to make sure it is not waterlogged before planting.

Some seeds can but don’t have to be brought on inside or in the green house if you prefer.

Beginners Tip: There is a lot to do this time of year.  If you have just taken on a plot then perhaps just do part of it.  Or anther way would be to get plug plants where possible that way you have more time to work on your plot and will also it will increase your chances of success.

Also if you do want to plant seeds start off with the easy to grow ones.  Some packets let you know which are easy to grow.  Things like runner beans, spring onions and Brussels sprouts.  Always but ALWAYS protect your plants and seeds from rabbits, birds and slugs.
